		<description><![CDATA[This entire season, going back to spring training, has been a nonstop series of orthopedic self-immolations. Damned if I can remember another year - anywhere but in Flushing, anyway - where the casualty count has been climbing like the Great Kanto Earthquake redux.

This is the time for the network hacks to strike with a hot iron and come up with a TV series about a sports doctor - you know, a Dr. Andrews clone with an eager and idealistic young associate, preferably female so the networks can break new ground showing qualified women handling...um...damaged males.]]></description>
