It used to be a big part of coming to the game, getting blown out of the doors by air rushing to escape. But then they started keeping them closed on weird-weather days, and in the last several years they were rarely opened at all. Everyone left via revolving doors, which didn’t have nearly the air rush.

Shea was horrible the second the paint was drying on the place. If you wanted to give yourself a backache, Shea was the place to go. The seats were hard as a rock and if you had seats along the baselines you had to sit on the seat on a 90 degree angle just to see the action. Your back would be gone by the 2nd inning.
