The Royals = the Peanuts baseball team

Apr 19, 2010, 1:40 PM EDT

This comparison between the Peantus’ baseball team and the Kansas City Royals is pure genius. I especially recommend the conversation between Jason Kendall and Kyle Farnsworth. The only bit of comparative dissonance: Charlie Brown inspires sympathy whereas Trey
Hillman does not.

A hearty round of applause for Jeff Zimmerman at Royals Review for seeing the parallels.

So, Charlie Brown signs all the players Peppermint Patty doesn’t want anymore?

Abso-freakin’-lutely hilarious and oh so true.

Even better is the comic strip Carl Skanberg has been drawing actually about the Chicago White Sox since 2006:

Thanks, BD. I lost track of Skanberg a few years ago. Glad he’s still at it and still hilarious.

Peantus’, I know the Royals are playing bad but there is no reason to be vulgar. Is that like a Freudian ship, like the Nina, Peantus’, and the Santa Maria.

Peantus’, get your popcorn, beer, and peantus’. And don’t forget your hotdogs.
