Bob Uecker and Joe Torre are just a couple of 70-somethings texting each other:
Torre, the Dodgers manager and Uecker’s onetime Milwaukee Braves teammate and roommate, said he sent a get well message to Uecker via text after the Brewers broadcaster underwent heart surgery last week.
Was Torre surprised to learn that the old-school Uecker was a texter? “Not as surprised as I was to be texting,” Torre joked.

Well, this is at least more interesting and relevant to something or other than, say, some poor schmuck’s marital agonies.

But the important thing is, what did Har…er, Bob Uecker text back? I trust we’ll see it here first before Us or Slime Week has it plastered across their front pages at the Publix checkout counter?

Did Torre walk into any doors, stop signs, chairs, etc., while texting, like I see the young idiots doing all the time?
