Seriously? He’s the most interesting, honest, surprising and fun announcer in the sport. Who would you rather listen to? John Sterling? It was a 20 inning game, for crying out loud. Get a life.

Intolerable?! This is what makes the broadcast fantastic – the desperate attempts by Ron Darling and Gary Cohen to make sure Keith keeps up with his insightful and interesting commentary while steering him away from the realm of the deeply offensive and profane! It’s like putting a toddler in a playpen and telling him to stick to the building blocks while avoiding the action figures.
Furthermore, one quote that makes Keith SO worth it – they’re speaking in reference to Oliver Perez:
Gary: “97 pitches with one out in the fourth. You know how hard that is to do?”
Keith: “You know how hard that is to watch?

Relax, he’s one of the more tolerable announcers out there. He’s funny, and I appreciate the fact that at least he doesn’t hide who he is. He was sleeping during the commercial break, honestly that’s pretty funny.

This is a disgrace, he deserves to be fired though I know the Mets will never do that to their 80s golden boy. This, the woman in the dugout comment from ’06, a few weeks ago the team came back from a commercial and he’s talking to Gary Cohen about a 23-year old woman that he thought was hot and he stared at her for 3 minutes. I know he won’t get the axe due to his status in Mets lore, but not even Mets fans can argue that sort of shit this is tolerable.
