Has Cashman been hanging around Theo Epstein lately?
These are all moves we’ve come to expect from those losers, not from our club. I thought Cashman was smarter than that. Hey, might as well look at Penny while he’s at it!!

I think this is a good signing if Giradi puts him in the bulpen! I think this because he stinks as a starter however, I think he would be a good seventh inning guy because he dose strikeout aloot of batters in thise innings! I think He will be fine at his 2nd stint as a Yankee!

At this point Cashman looks bad. Let’s look closer though. Matsui can’t play the outfield, and the guys playing in the Yankees lineup are doing well. Damon wanted 15 mill to play for the Yankees, but took half that to play for the Tigers. Damon is at fault here because Cashman offered that to ole Johhny. Jackson is having a career year at this point, but has seen his average drop 30 points in 10 days, and is on pace to strikeout about 200 times. Granderson is not off to a great start, but lets give him time. He may hit those 30 homers again and quiet his critics. Kennedy is doing OK, Joba and Hughes are doing much better. Vasquez just had his best outing in a loss, so you can’t give up on him yet. Coke gave up 4 runs in an inning 2 days ago to pop his ERA near 5, and Gardner getting to play everyday is top 5 in runs, average, SBs in the league- and getting outs with his arm and speed. The Johnson signing I will give you-he is a walking DL if I ever saw one, but a 1 year contract is all he cost. In the long run the Yankees wanted Damon, and had they got him back I doubt this article would have been written, because he was the biggest name the Yankees lost, and even at that Gardner is helping the fans forget what they are missing. Matsui may not make the entire season on his knees, and it is easy to foeget his age and the number of times he has to get his knees drained just to play the game. Cano, Cervelli, Gardner, Hughes, and Joba all can be credited to Cashman-for getting or keeping from the Yankees farm sysytem, so he has his gems too.

They won last year, remember the start weren’t the same things said last year. We all are fickle fans. Are not we the YANKEES 2nd in wins this year. one less then the Rays & running just one stride behind them. We have won almost every three & 4 game series this year. Thanks George Stienbrenner for Cashman. Oh the same was said about the Manager did he change his # this year . ” I wonder WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Greg Golson’s line was .242/.280/.389 at the AAA level and Montero is worse: .230/.287/.350 What exactly do you expect them to contribute that proven veterans like Thames and Winn can’t? Further, placing Montero ahead of either Posada or Cervelli (who has been killing it this year) would be insane. Players need time to develop, get it through your head.

what is wrong with cashman lately?i just don’t understand his thinking!i think befor the season is over he is going to unload the farm system next for somemore over the hill players.instead of getting younger,he’s bringing in older!leftfld.is a joke!instead of trying to fix it,he sit’s back & does nothing.and now he sign’s redding,another has been.help me out with this one?you bring up g.golson,let the kid play.you got montero just waiting.oh i see,they have’nt reached there prime age of (35yrs.old yet).i just don’t understand!!!!!!!!!!!help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to you cashman lovers: world series win:despite his moves. Let’s count the off season moves ” best” to worst. Signing vasquez. Not resigning Godzilla or Damon as DH but signing johnson, the human disabled list. And the worst giving up Jackson and Coke for granderson who was on the downslide just look at the 3 year numbers.If i pperfomed at my job as good as cashman I’d be homeless now.New est move yesterday signing Tim redding again. Why? Does anyone remember the inning he threw at the Red Sox a few years ago?
