The Braves now have their own version of a steroid clone. Baseball continues to turn their head because the game needs the long ball on ESPN highlights to sell tickets. Pitching, defense and team play I guess is boring to many so the ballparks continue to get smaller so juiced up hitters can hit it far and deep. LaRussa and Billy Martin would have been a lot of fun after a game but a designated driver would have been a must.

“Roids”? Pujols? He did not suddenly start hitting 70 HRs per season yesterday (ie – see Sosa, Griffey, Bonds and McGwire) and then stop immediately after the Roid issue caused some effect. Pujols has “only” been one of the premier, consistently, hiiters since he first set foot on the MLB fields. Wake up and smell reality.

Only those partisan fans above who don’t like the Cardinals are going to contend (WITHOUT proof of any type) that Pujols takes any PED, and you’ll all shut up if he signs with YOUR team next year. A couple of the posts (a Phillies fan, a Giants fan) who are true fans of the sport recognize that Pujols, even when he beats your team, is one of the great players of his generation, if not all time. He has said many times that you can test him (for PEDs) “anytime”, and that’s not something anyone who every used any would be dumb enough to say. The whole team is in a funk right now, and for someone who is as intense as Pujols is, I’m not surprised he blew up over something. He’s not entitled to? It makes him different than other players? He and TLR both say it’s over. So be it.

I find it likely he has used PEDs. No one these days, that is amazing, can be taken at face value. I never thought, and neither did a ranking baseball insider related to me, that A Rod was dirty.
