Derek Jeter leaves Yankees-Indians game with a strained hammy

May 31, 2010, 3:42 PM EDT

Derek Jeter had a couple of hits in today’s Yankees-Indians game, but he left this one a few minutes ago with a tight hamstring. No word if it’s serious, but it wasn’t totally apparent why he left the game at the time, so it would appear not.

The Yankees are doing just fine without him, by the way, leading 8-1 in the top of the eighth. Four of those runs courtesy of an Alex Rodriguez grand slam.

Maybe Pretty Boy had a photo or commercial shoot and had double-booked himself.

He got hit in that leg earlier in the game. It probably just started tightening up on him.

Maybe after going two for three he decided to give tghe Indian’s a break?

DJ has done nothing but good for baseball. You’re an idiot.

tank74: Agreed. Jeter always hustles and will do whatever it takes to win. He is a winner. How can you not like him?
GimmeSomeSteel is either a Red Sox or Mets fan. He’s just trolling.
