Update: well, at least I got half my wish. Lamb is lucky. In the old days, he would have been taken out and shot. But our methods are different now because our aims are different.
Updated update: Actually, I got more than half of my wish. I got a wish and a half. Tim Woods was optioned to the Twelfth Canto to bring up Emilio Bonifacio and Rick Vanden Hurk was called up to replace Joran Van Der Sloot...heh, sorry, I mean Brett Carroll. Vanden Hurk was brutal in spring training and I have no idea if he's going to be any better, but it's hard to imagine that he'll be any worse.

It will of course be exciting to see Stanton play with the Feesh at last, but after watching Scrooge McLoria's bargain basement boolpen hand the Mutts back a five run lead in another execrable performance this afternoon, I can only hope it'll be Tim Woods who gets sent down to make room for him and that Mike (Mendoza Line) Lamb gets designated for assignment so that the Feesh can bring up another arsonist to take Woods' place.
.
Fat Freddi pulled the plug on Nolsco a bit too soon, really. The Clueless One overreacted to a run-scoring bloop single and summoned from the boolpen a proven batting practice pitcher who gave away the game in 1.2 innings. This may be some evidence that Freddi is panicking.
.
This lineup needs consistency, and even though I don't doubt that Stanton will supply some pleasing pyrotechnics, I don't envision his production will be sufficient to make up for the team's pitching deficiencies. On the bright side, the Feesh played errorless ball again today. If they had some decent middle relief pitching, that improvement could synergize nicely.
