Going to a game in Philly? Watch your beer!

Jun 7, 2010, 11:12 AM EST

The bad behavior at the Mets game may not have actually ended up being bad, but thank God we have the Phillies to fall back on:

How dare that kid steal some hardworking man’s beer!  Somebody tase him.

UPDATE: I originally had a “via Deadspin” credit here because that’s where I saw it first, but the credit for getting it out to the world should go to Meech.one at The Fightins.  A thousand pardons, Meech. Let no one take credit for showing little kids drinking beer at Philly games besides you!

Not as good as this one though:

    Brilliant tag. And so true.
Here in KC, there are two dedicated Boulevard beer stands on the concourse, where one can get a fresh pint of Pale Ale, Wheat or the current seasonal for $7. Or for $7.50, the bartender can reach in the cooler and grab a bottle of {insert brand here} “Lite/Light.” According to the server we talked to once, they do sell a few each game, penalty price and all.

Obviously fueled by alcohol, if that kid ran onto the field and happened to evade several security staff like the previous fan….will there still be a healthy smattering of people out there who think he/she (sorry to the person involved if reading) deserves to be tased???!!!

Ok. I’m getting annoyed. This video was not, in fact, discovered by Deadspin or whoever wrote that article. It was found by Mike Meech from TheFightins.com Here is the link of his article, posted YESTERDAY.

    Get your crediting right.

And afterward, he left his vote for Rollins a hanging chad.
    Bastard.

Frau Emm, the German teacher at my high school (many years ago) had a poster of a bottle of Kronenbourg with a baby bottle nipple on it. We thought it pretty darned subversive for high school classroom art. We also wondered if Frau Emm was one of the Berlin Emms or one of the Essen Emms, but that’s another story.

This video was first on TheFightins.com , not Deadspin- they took it without crediting them.

I’ve already edited to reflect that, Colin.

Well it must be a thing for Philly fans at a young age because my son had to be watched very closely around my open beers when he was about that kids age. He’s now 8 and has since lost his flavor for beer thank god. It hasn’t effected him badly I hope. He did pitch a great game in little league on saturday so i think he’ll be alright. He swas striking those poor kids out looking with his nasty (for being 8 years old) sidearm.

How many open beers did you have at the time? Has he moved on to harder stuff?

  11. Jonny5 - Jun 7, 2010 at 2:28 PM

Lol!! Just one at a time. And let’s hope he hasn’t.

My kid drinks beer and coffee with me, though it is of the white, cow-related variety. And it’s always coffee in the car–that’s just what I’d need if I was ever pulled over.

video now apparently copyright by MLB. Conspiracy theories abound – Does MLB own every video shot in a park ? Is it the Light/Lite cartel ?
The American Can Council ? The “Anti- Blondes have more fun Committee
