I had the identical thought. It was good for 8th in the league, as a rookie. Even in Mauer’s first season, he was only at .783, and he’s already in the HOF.

Given the O’s continuous struggles one would think that they would be thrilled to have a promising 24 year old to stabilize the position for many years. He’ll never be Joe Mauer, but he sure aint no Lou Marson either.
