A-Rod's got a stiff groin

Jun 11, 2010, 9:22 AM EDT

Don’t look at me that way. That’s what the team said.

Rodriguez started last night’s game against the Orioles, but was pinch hit for by Ramiro Pena.  After the game the Yankees confirmed that A-Rod has
“stiffness in his groin” and will see a doctor about it today.

A-Rod has struggled with the groin issue
for a few weeks and he tweaked it again just this past Sunday. Pena will likely start in his place over the next few days.

Rodriguez has a line of .290/.361/.482 this year. Good for most people, but certainly not up to his standards. Nagging injuries like this will do that to a guy.

Stiff groin…new diagnosis. Why didn’t they just use the more common term – Sprained Taint?

Did the stiffness last 4 hours or more? Is that why he needs to seek medical attention?

See a doctor if your stiffness lasts more than four hours.

That’s what happens when you hang around with super-models, etc. instead of focusing on baseball.

It also happens when guys named Galea get a new pair of bracelets. What the heck, only 7.5 years left on his contract.

Interesting his body is breaking down after he got of the juice, just like mr. Griffey Jr. and his legs

“The doctor said the problem would be solved if Brian Cashman could implement a rule banning the playing of Madonna songs at Yankee Stadium”
