I’m just a wee bit concerned with what Ruben’s gonna have to give up to get anybody right now, be it a Dan Haren (Cliff Lee, Part Deux?) to bolster the rotation, or an infielder to bolster the bench and/or 2B and 3B positions.

Hey I said “has been pitching as good” His last 3 starts show a 1.96 era. And that was against some good hitting teams. Shoot if you look at the last 3 Roy isn’t pitching like Roy.

If by nearly as good you mean has an ERA 2 runs higher and has posted a WAR that’s over 3 wins worse? Then yeah it’s weird that you think Jamie Moyer and Roy Halladay have performed at a level that is even in the same state this year. Every category except for W/L record favors Halladay and it isn’t even close.

The Fossil has been holding his own–aside from the scattered occasions where he was lit up and his ERA was inflated. Who can they get to take Kendrick’s spot in the rotation? Haren? Who would they have to give up? They most assuredly have far fewer chips to play than they did with Lee and Doc, but there’s gotta be an answer. This season was not supposed to be this agonizing.

Uhh ohh….. Seven Games. That stands for how many games the Phillies have played with their projected starting line up this season. This is what I was afraid of. When you don’t hear much right away, and then there’s that old “second opinion” from some other specialist in another state scheduled, it usually doesn’t turn out good. With polanco out too, it hurts. Well it’s a good thing that Wilson Valdez has been getting kinda hot with his bat, and the dude flips some serious leather, with a hell of a gun to boot. We still could use a pitcher since Happ isn’t looking good yet and Kendrick is, well Kendrick. Is it just me, or is it kind of weird that Jamie Moyer has been nearly as good as Roy Halladay??
