This year Howard has been an average NL 1B. I love that he has worked to get in better shape and all….but that hasn’t actually had a positive effect on his base running or his defense, bother are still horrible. On offense his power is way down and he doesn’t walk anymore.

Phillips also has a higher OBP% and SLG% than Uggla too…. Whoever thinks Uggla should make it over Phillips doesn’t know baseball… Homeruns are the most overrated stat in baseball.
