Funny but cliched statement I heard from a Red Sox fan tonight on the radio … he said that this is nothing more than”the rich getting richer!” That’s funny to me because I’m not sure how Kearns, or Berkman for that matter, falls under that “richer” heading. If the Yanks wanted to get “richer”, they would have traded for Lee, Oswalt, Haren, Dunn, etc. I know Berkman’s a big name, but his best days are far behind him. These are just situational bats.
But I guess I shouldn’t expect anything less from Red Sox fans when the Yankees improve their roster.
