The Yankees are not pursuing Ted Lilly

Jul 31, 2010, 11:00 AM EST

As we wait for the Dodgers front office to wake up, have their coffee and decide if they want to do a deal with the Cubs for Ted Lilly, we can at least pass along word that they probably don’t have any competition from the Yankees. Buster says that the Yankees aren’t pursuing him “unless the Cubs put him on a platter and give him away.”

It’s times like these that I wish I had photoshop skills, because I’d totally do the Ted Lilly/Platter thing. I’d put the apple in his mouth and everything.

Never been big on the ex-Cub (Mike Royko) factor thingy.

Good for you Yankees1996. At least a few Yankee fans get it.
