The Pirates will pay your ticket service fees

Aug 2, 2010, 11:28 AM EDT

At least for a little while.  If you buy tickets to home game between today and Sunday, the Pirates will waive all service fees.

Nice gesture. And given that (a) it really is a great park; and (b) you’re guaranteed to see at least one major league team during any Pirates game, it’s a great opportunity for bored fans.

They could give away free tickets and guarantee you get laid and those crappy sports town will still not show up.

Jeez, you could never live in New York. Pittsburgh sports fans are the most ardent I know for any sport where they have a team that wins (over .500 in case you’re not aware of the “strange attractor”) at least once every couple of decades.
Th NY part comes from the fact that a 5 game losing streak causes a significant decrease in fan loyalty.
Don’t hate on the Steel City. I’ve just never seen Pittsburgh and crappy sports town used in the same sentence before.

    SERVICE FEES!!!!
I have to pay the price of the ticket, then I have to pay for the right to pay for a ticket. This is a scam to clame they have not raise ticket prices.
“For the 3rd year in a row ticket prices will not change”, “in an unrelated storey, for the 3rd year in a row ‘SERVICE FEES’ have increased by 15%”.
