Wilson Ramos is off to a pretty nice start with Triple-A Syracuse

Aug 4, 2010, 3:45 PM EDT

Just a short while ago, Mark Zuckerman of Nats Insider and CSNWashington.com brought us up to speed on what Wilson Ramos has been up to since being acquired from the Twins for closer Matt Capps last Thursday:

Since his acquisition from Twins, Nats C Wilson Ramos is 6-for-15, HR, 4 RBI, 3B, 4 R at AAA Syracuse.

Four games isn’t going to supersede the disappointing .241/.280/.345 bating line he had with Triple-A Rochester this season, but it at least will throw some more kindling on the fire for those who believe the Twins sold too low.

    What a terrible trade….
I was at the stadium the first game Capps pitched-comes out to Final Countdown by Europe…Crowd is going nuts-i couldnt help but shake my head. At least a middle of the rotation starter would have helped the team-especially for the twins who have relievers all over their minor leagues who should be given a shot.

Even for the likes of Bill Smith this is a bad trade.

Brutal over pay. I would have seriously considered firing him the moment I heard about it if I was the owner.
