Does everything thing with class? He acts like a 12yr old when things are not to his liking. I would have Cuban over half the other guys out there, but lets not forget his fondness for media and attention.

nolan ryan should’ve teamed up with mark cuban. that would be a dream come true.
i think cuban would be great for baseball in that he is an owner who isn’t afraid to spend money and does everything first class. truth is, both are excellent candidates and are deserving.

Anything (or anyone) that gets Bud Selig’s crusty briefs in a bind is a net positive in my book. If he has to be wheeled out from behind the curtain to subvert and interfere with a court order, I’ll be pleased as punch. There will be no way to put a friendly face on that, and nothing angers grand-standing politicians more then someone pissing in their pool.

Why else would the creditors offer to lend money to Cuban to buy the team?
I’m not against Cuban owning the team..I think its a great thing Selig is scared of..I’m just saying there is no way anyone outside the NY/Boston market can have a 200m payroll..they end up bankrupt.

Nonsense. It was Hicks’s other, crappier holdings that bankrupted him, not the Rangers. Why else would the creditors offer to lend money to Cuban to buy the team?

Alas, our bid was rejected because Mark Hampton was supposed to deliver his check to us before the deadline, but he strained his forearm writing the check. He is day-to-day, but may have to be put on the 60 day DL if things don’t improve soon.

Either way, the Rangers win. Moreso if Ryan/Greenberg get the nod, but wouldn’t it be great if they all decided to just do it together and share?
