This would be great for the Sox if Jenks injured himself. Sorry Jenks, but that’s the truth. He is no longer the best guy to close for them, but yet Ozzie can’t take the wind out of his sails and demote him from closer b/c of some backdoor pride-related b.s. He shouldn’t be their closer and has proven that all year long. They have a great relief corps that could easily allow a guy to settle in as the new closer. An injury to Jenks would be the easiest way to make this happen and wouldn’t hurt anyone’s pride…(which I think is crap, sit the guy now, healthy or not, and move on)

his era kinda blows but 51 k in 41 inning and 23 of 26 saves isn’t as bad as ozzie has made it out to be.
