He reminds me a lot of Nick Johnson , totally lost at the plate . I’m starting to realize that NL players have a hard time adjusting to AL pitchers . It’s that or those two are finished . Probably the latter . Either way , you’ll never see either of them in a Yankee uniform after this year . Thank God .

The person they need to play the DH position for the rest of the year is ARod and they should try to make a waiver claim on Brandon Inge, Chone Figgins or someone like that who can play 3rd base the rest of the year so Arod can stay healthy for the lon haul and we still have his bat for the playoffs.
Berkman should just be a situational pinch hitter off the bench for the playoffs. He could even come in handy during the WS against National League pitchers whom he knows well. But to get there the Yanks need to field a team that is better without him.

The Berkman trade made no sense from the beginning and it looks like they found a way to get out of putting this liability in the field.. Amazing the difference between the Astros and the Yanks, huh? In Houston this guy was a hero, but the second you get on the Yankees you have fans actually paying attention to what you do and resting on the laurels of that phenomonal 03-05 run just doesn’t cut it.
He seems like a really nice guy who didn’t deserve to be thrown this far over his head in a pennant race in the AL East.

Getting paid almost $90K/game whether you play or not helps keep you happy enough for awhile. Sorry, ain’t nothing ‘amazing’ about that.
