Hey look! Roger Clemens' mugshot!

Aug 31, 2010, 8:15 AM EDT

You can tell the Rocket’s friends have abandoned him in this dark hour, as no friend would ever let a guy go out in public looking like this.

He did not dress or style himself for his appearance in court yesterday, he styled himself for the golf tournament after his court date.

For someone with the amount if Money he has, you’d think he might look presentable for this type of thing. Frosted hair, shitty crooked tie…

  5. adam - Aug 31, 2010 at 10:43 AM

Is that a floral tie? If it is, someone please backhand the man.

Glad government is wasting money on Clemens. I would like to see what this is all costing the taxpayers. Who cares if Roger used or not. All of the guys from that era did something, so move on. The game was exciting and we buy tickets to be entertained. Teach your kids the rights and wrongs of society and if they choose to use illegal drugs as adults , that is their choice! This is a big waste of everyones time and money. MLB needs to police itself, not have our government waste one moment of time on this, those politicians should be kicked out for not looking out for the citizens who put them into these positions. Shame on them for thinking this is accomplishing anything and grandstanding in a media driven society with half truths.
    “FREE THE ROCKET!!!”
And Andy P., you’re a punk! You sell out your best friend to save your own ass when you would not have gotten in any trouble. Your character is shot for being a pussy! We are taught to stick by our friends and you punked out. I would not want him on my team , even if he has one bit of talent. I can’t believe Yankee fans even cheer this guy on, anymore. That breaks all code of teammates he sold out another Yankee without having substantial evidence. Andy, you need to walk away with your tail tucked between your legs. Your ex-friend is in a bit of a situation because you don’t know what being a friend means!

Nonsense. Pettitte had to testify truthfully under oath. Refusing to commit perjury is not equivalent to being a punk or a pussy.

  8. Gary - Aug 31, 2010 at 11:57 AM

How do you know Pettitte testified truthfully under oath? We

  9. craigolney - Aug 31, 2010 at 12:27 PM

    He has 5th amendment rights

  10. Kevin S. - Aug 31, 2010 at 12:40 PM

You can’t use the 5th Amendment to refuse to testify against somebody else, only to avoid incriminating yourself.

@craigolney – I agree with you about the waste of money and the Governments involvement in this issue, the money being spent will not be justified with the 15 to 21 month sentence Clemens is going to most likely get. But your rantings against Andy Pettitte are just stupid and misplaced. Remember it is Clemens that lied and Andy did nothing more than tell the truth. If standing up and telling the truth and taking responsibility for your actions is the behaviour of a punk then we need more punks. Clemens and several of the others that have been questioned, incriminated and indicted cannot or will not tell the truth about their involvement with steroids and that is the type of behaviour that is degrading the moral fabric of this country.
