injured or not the rangers got the best end of the deal when they stole him from the reds for a supposed ace.volquez had a great first half in '08 and sucked ever since for the reds.seriously how do you have 14 wins by the all star game then win 3 the rest of the year not to mention his era has gone up every year also and don't forget missing most of last year with an injury. his comeback was supposed to boost the reds down the stretch but he almost cost them with his awful outings before they wised up and took him out of the rotation.meanwhile hamilton hurt or not just keeps pounding the ball with the rangers.how good would that reds outfield be with hamilton, bruce and stubbs?

They'll be in trouble, but only if he needs more than a month of very part-time duty in order for the knee to have a good month left in it. With an 8 1/2 game lead going in to the final month, and most of their competition having thrown in the towel (seems the A's still have a dream), and the 40 man September roster starting tomorrow, a cruise into the postseason with Hamilton taking frequent breaks seems appropriate.
