For your information Albert dose worry about his Performance! Albert dose have a right to his opinions about Rasmus. Colby should just concentrait on his hitting and fielding and not all the other stuff! If Rasmus want out of here then maybe he should get out of here next year who knows? Albert and Tony had a right to go to Genn Beck's rally while our team was in Washington and I'm glad they did. Stop ripping Genn Beck! Glenn tell it like it is and if you can't handle it then sorry but to bad! In my opinion the only lunies out there are you! Also stop ripping Albert! As I said he had the right to go to Glenn's rally and as I said I am glad he did. I am also glad Glenn gave him an award for his belief in God as well. Finally I to agree with Glenn Beck as well and as I said if you can't handle it then sorry but to bad because like I also said Glenn is telling it like it is!

They say pitching is 75% of the game. I have a suggestion. Trade Pujols for some pitching and avoid paying him A-Rod money and rid the team of the stigma of supporting crazy, religious, racist, right wing nuts. Get rid of LaRussa too. If he attended a Glenn Beck rally, I suspect he may be sympathetic to Beck's brand of lunacy.

This article only mentions the drama. It should be updated with the post-game comments from Rasmus. It should also be updated to mention that Pujols thought Rasmus requested a trade this weekend. Why wouldn't that irk him? The Cardinals are trying to find some unlikely way to salvage the season. I'm sure he felt disrespected.

I had a lot of respect for Albert until this debocle. Since when does a superstar who has done nothing in the past 25 or so games has suddenly aquired status as a spokesperson of the Cardinals? Albert has no business sticking his nose into adminstrative business of the team. Unless the Cardinals have given him such a position. Albert's spouting off about another player gives the Cardinals a stressful position of siding with this or that player. Suddenly you have players looking over their shoulders at who's talking about who. Is Albert their friend or is he going to run to the boss as a snitch?! Albert's mouth has suddenly put him in that position. In an attempt to get rid of a player he sees as a detriment to the team, Albert may have forced the Cardinals to take a look at HIM!!!

What Pujols actually said first was, “If he doesn’t want to be here next year, we need to figure out a way to get him out of here and find somebody that wants to be here and play. That’s a reality." That was in response to Rasmus declining to answer a question about whether or not he likes it in St. Louis. I wouldn't be surprised if Rasmus' answer would have been something to the effect of, "I don't like playing for Tony LaRussa."
All of these are examples of why players shouldn't discuss such issues with the media. No good comes of it.

I had suspected that the award for Pujols was Beck and Co. using him in some fashion, but I hadn't thought the team was involved in it. If that's true, Pujols is doing Rasmus a favor by trying to push him out, and should try to hitch himself onto the same trade. That's outrageous.

Here is the true story of the Albert and Tony attending the Glenn Beck rally.
<br /><br />
Tony went to the Glenn Beck rally give Albert some cover. Joe Buck, an employee of Fox, approached Cardinal ownership about Puljos attending the rally. Cardinal ownership strongly requested that Albert attend to pick up an award, asuring him that there would not be anything political about the rally. The ownership said it would considerate a personal favor if he would attend. Tony invited himself along to get between Albert and any annoying questions.
<br /><br />
The Cardinal ownership did Fox (who pays them millions of dollars per year) a favor. Cardinal ownership also strongly agrees with Glenn Beck's political agenda (as does Buck), so it was a win-win situation for them. Unfortunately, ownership forgot about the impact on the team.
<br /><br />
The story is all over town here in Saint Louis. The only reason I can think of that it hasn't reported by Craig, or Drew, or one of the HBT bloggers is that Fox does not want it known that it is using it sports' network to advance its political agenda. If one of the HBT bloggers reports it, they will not be able to use video or get gossip from the Fox reporters. Fox has a lock on MLB.

You're assuming that Glenn Beck actually prays, and that the bloated fool isn't just presenting his buffoonish holier-than-thou front as a matter of sheer, calculated opportunism.
And right here is the major malfunction in MLB. These all star players who have "demands" and forces the team to accept them or they leave. Know what, LaRussa needs to go, he has done all he can with the Cardinals, and this season has already showed that the team has all but given up with him as manager. So Pujols wants him to stay, well tell Pujols that its not up to him, put the player in the proper placement of things on the Cardinals. Pujols may end up getting what he wants, but LaRussa won't be cheap, and neither will Pujols, so it be interesting to see if the Cardinals can win with 1 high priced manager and one high priced player and a bunch of medium paid players can succeed, and this season has shown that they can't
