It seems that all the playoff teams in the AL have struggled lately. Should make for some entertaining playoff matchups.

This is why all clinching should be done with less than 2 series left in the regular season. These ballplayers lose that fire. I’d worry if i were the Twins. Kick it up now, because getting hot isn’t some switch you can just turn on when you need to.

Worst thing they did last night, but nobody is talking about it today: With one out and a runner (Repko) on first in the ninth inning, Valencia flies out to left. It wound up being a double play because Repko lost track of the outs and was almost at third base when the ball was caught. Now, Soria is pitching, and you’re probably done for anyway, but still…I’m sure that play didn’t sit well with Gardy at all.
