The Reds know how to do a day-after-clinching lineup. I just thank my lucky stars that they’re not playing the Padres right now:
RF Willie Bloomquist
2B Chris Valetta
1B Yadier Alonso
3B Juan Francisco
CF Chris Heisey
LF Laynce Nix
SS Paul Janish
C Corky MIller
P Johnny Cueto

you know it’s a hangover lineup when the only guy with a recognizable name is Wee Willie Bloomquist(other than the pitcher – what, Eric Milton wasn’t available?)

You don’t recognize Laynce Nix? He’s been around a while.

Anyone who actually follows the team would have no problem recognizing these names. Nearly everyone of these guys played an integral role in the Reds’ success this year.

Oh come on. Yes, they’re part of the mighty 40 (25), and they are useful guys, but this is an awesome AAAA lineup.
Congrats to the Little Red Engine!

Pretty funny. We should start judging Hangover Day lineups by the number of misspellings they induce in sportswriters / bloggers.

Yonder Alonso is most certainly not a AAAA player… more like a top 50 prospect.
