Two things:
1) I think you mean “sniping” and “wish,” unless MLB and MLBPA have been chasing each other around with scissors and the NFL is having very large meetings or something.

Does this mean that Heyman can no longer quote Scott Boras? Dude’s career just went goodbye.

The only thing I could see MLB doing is fining clubs who have leaks in them. So if someone says someone with the Cubs claims they are offering player X a certain deal they fine the team. Or if Boras says a mystery team is offering 100 billion for Werth he gets fined? Not that it would particularly work.

What was different about this occurance than others similar to it in years past? COuld it be that there are some different people involved? Perhaps people with some social skills and morals to go along with their negotiating skills? And eyes open just enough to see that the preservation of the host is tantamount to the survival all involved? What’s different? Who’s missing?
