Rays to start selling plaid "Braysers" at Saks Fifth Avenue

Oct 6, 2010, 2:19 PM EDT

Remember those hideously awesome plaid “Brayers” the Rays have been wearing?
Well, according to Mark Topkin of the St. Petersburg Times the Rays are working on a deal to sell them at Saks Fifth Avenue … for $300 each.
For that money you can get a “custom made” Brayser “through the same New York City boutique run by local designer Julia Alarcon that made the team’s original blazers.”
And manager Joe Maddon will also consider you a “real man.”

The same Rays fans who couldn’t afford to go to the games because of the economy, are going to buy 300 $ Butt ugly jackets that’ll be worn once? Word has it they won’t need the Jackets next season….

First of all, you need to reevaluate your fashion sense. Those jackets are awesome in the same way the Padres and Astros old uni’s are awesome. Second of all, well ok, thats the only one I have.
T-minus 5 hours and 15 min until Chris Heisey walks off with a homer off Lidge to take game 1…

Sure, but would you wear any of them out to dinner? BTW, Lidge’s going to baffle these guys with his two pitches!! yes 2!!!

I would definitely wear that jacket to dinner! Do you think anyone at Taco Bell at 3AM is gonna care?
