What Giant Space Ants says is very true. We used to have an owner who was alleged (in jest, I think) to having purchased the bones of the Elephant Man and Eva Braun for his collection of weird stuff, but last year couldn't make payroll or buy enough balls to have a game. This guy buys the team, and immediately lowers the price of hot dogs, beer and parking, as well as hot chocolate (the latter to keep fans' hands warm at WS games, I think). To top it all off, he's partnered up with the most legendary pitcher of our time. He spends part of most games sitting somewhere besides the owners box, mingling with Larry Lunchbucket fan. Rangers fans LOVE this guy, and this meesage is just one more example of why!

Eh, Rangers fans (especially the ones on Lone Star Ball) do sort of care about that stuff, at least in this case. Getting rid of Hicks was a godsend, and with how drawn out the process was, it was a huge relief for many of them when the deal finally got done.
