Why didn’t Dayton Moore include Bloomquist in the Ankiel/FARNSWORTH!!!!! trade? He probably would have made a game-saving defensive play Friday night to complete the trifecta. People joke about Bloomquist a lot, but he’s at least an effective backup who won’t kill your team when he has to fill in for an injured player.
As a fan without a rooting interest in this series, I sure as hell hope the Braves come back and win for Conrad’s sake.

It’s a tough spot for Cox to make do for an entire game. If I were the Giants, I’d have anyone with even semi-respectable speed bunt it down the 3rd baseline and make him prove he still has the range to make the play.

If the ball is hit right to Glaus he should be able to make the play. If he has to move a couple of feet he might be in trouble. Doesn’t seem so long ago the jays were playing him at shortstop when they had a fly ball pitcher going…
Why is Hinske not an option at 3rd base? I know he’s not very good defensively either, but he can at least move around.

I honestly think one of the outfielders (other than Diaz) could do a better job in the infield than Conrad at this point. It’s totally in his head now and they don’t have the luxury to wait for him to work his way through it. Hopefully Glaus won’t blow the game.
