He's already pretty much banged up and used up for his age. His team has sucked all the juices out of this kid already and now ready to ship it out and get paid handsomely in return.

He is below Dice-k and don't expect any gyro ball or anything magical. Being Japanese and a fan of MLB, I really hate this system for Japanese ball clubs to abuse young talent by intentionally forcing them 150 pitches a game trying to make the best out of them early in their career knowing they can ship them to MLB.

It's disgusting, actually. I've seen Darvish, in this case, getting tons of innings obviously looking in pain or coming up as a reliever(he's a starter) and pitching like he was tossing a practice pitch... because of pain he was in...

Seriously, Japan league better start allowing players to go to MLB or whichever league much earlier in their career (now 9 years to become a Free Agent) and stop this nonsense auction system, which allows JP teams to abuse players for the first 8 years knowing that they could send them off to MLB after the season and get paid to buy a fresh talent...

That's exactly what his team has under plan. Same was true to this former team of Dice-K. They were so happy to get paid 50M for him to build a new stadium.

Please don't any team overspend just to get a right to negotiate with Darvish.

Forget the D-Backs on this one. They can talk all they want, but if Darvish posts, there's no way that Mr. Nintendo lets him go anywhere but Seattle. I know this would be a break the bank kinda deal for the M's, and they almost never play that game, but this guy is a rock star in Japan. I'm sure that Mr Nintendo will not allow the Japanese media to water down their focus on Ichiro and the M's. Ichiro is like the Wayne Gretzky/Michael Jordan of Japan. Darvish is like the Lebron of Japan.
Plus, if anyone thinks that Mr. Nintendo won't have an "in" during the so-called confidential posting process, they don't understand Japanese culture at all.
If he actually gets posted, it will be Hernandez, Pineda and Darvish in 2011. Very not bad.
