Well, I was wrong. I predicted that Cliff Lee would be a beast and only give up 1 run and 4 hits. He gave up no runs and 2 hits. He is scary and he warrants all the hysteria that he gets, no matter what all the “experts” say. Cliff Lee is the best postseason pitcher ever.

Agreed. Maybe this game is over, but there’s no way the series is over. Yankers could EASILY win the next three games without Lee pitching. This series is pretty much right where it is supposed to be, unless you actually thought the Yankers would win both games in Texas. I think the Yankers will start CC tomorrow and win. Then they will start Burnett and lose. Petitte will start game 6 on short rest and win, with Hughes backing him up. Then game 7 against Lee and we do it all over again. I would be SHOCKED if they start Burnett tomorrow. SHOCKED.

Good news and bad news. Bad news is that the only excitement was a broken bat single that barely reached the right fielder. The good news…Lee is already at 80 pitches through 5. He ain’t making 9, but the question is does he make 8 and get the game to Feliz? Does Washington put in Feliz in the 8th this time? Does the Rangers bullpen implode again? Or does Lee throw 130 pitches tonight?

This game was over the second Hamilton’s home run broke the plane of the right field fence. Craig and the blog can mock all it wants but Lee is a beast and he is unhittable even by the vaunted Yankers lineup. Get ready for Burnett in game 4 Yankers fans.
