Sorry to beat the Yankees/Burnett dead horse here, but has anyone considered that Burnett may actually be really good tonight or is that just impossible? Every scenario spelled out lately assumes the poor bastard won’t ‘t throw one strike tonight. I know he sucks this year (my fantasy team, ugh), but he still put up some good numbers on a couple starts. He certainly has been good before assuming, you know, he doesn’t slice up his hands before the game or something.

Hopefully the offensive output maintains the momentum from the other night–though I’m not a big believer in game-to-game momentum, per se, especially with a day and 3000 miles in between. As for Ross, absolutely nothing middle in, unless it’s Moyeresque off-speed sandwiched between outside 95ers. But, if you walk him, you walk him.

I’m thinking since it is the playoffs, Run support may come for Hamels this time. Plus Cain will be minced like meat and go 6 inning at best. What to do about Ross though? He’s a damn thorn in the side of the Phills once again. I say throw him nothing hittable. And never ever throw him anything middle in again if you have to get him out. Ever.

Definitely mince meat (especially if he pitches the same way he looks like he did in the side-by-side comparative graphic. Where the hell is Cain looking?), but in true Hameltonian run-support fashion, JRoll, Chase and the lineup’s OBP will go for naught today–except for just enough runs to win, since it is the playoffs after all. Cole will shut the Dwarves down, but it’ll be a RISP nightmare again as the Phightins squeak out a win.
