But I’ll be damned if it doesn’t drive me crazy to hear that this is no surprise because the Giants were a better team all year. Uh-huh…if that was the case, then why were the Phillies 3-1 favorites to win the series? I mean, they didn’t build those casinos because they wanted to give money away. The Phillies were also the favorites to win the World Series from the final four…and the Giants were 6-1.

If these fans were so confident, why aren’t they all millionaires right now? Oh yeah, because the Phillies were a better team all year, were favored to win the series, and the Giants have played slightly better this series. However, if Raul catches that ball in Game 1, and Ruiz doesn’t run into an out last night, we might be looking at a 3-1 series the other way. The only game the Giants truly dominated was game 3 and the Phillies dominated game 2. Giants won both close games 1 and 4. Good for them. But let’s not act like the Giants have completely dominated the Phillies this entire series because they have not.

Just be glad that more people are paying attention to baseball.
