The best “intangibles” column you’ll read all day

I’m torn on this World Series preview from CBS Sports.com’s Larry Dobrow. On the one hand, it’s almost certainly a sharp-as-a-tack satire of every hack columnist’s “intangibles” analysis.  On the other hand, it’s so spot-on that you just know people are going to link it without realizing it’s satire.

Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if Buck and McCarver used it as the primary source for their game prep.

Larry Dubrow has the edge in the intangible category of “Johnathon Swiftiness.”

    Too frickin funny….
“On the other hand, it’s so spot-on that you just know people are going to link it without realizing it’s satire.” Not just “link it”. The “cretins” as Charles Emerson Winchester, III would refer to them are already commenting as though it’s serious analysis.

It’s Dobrow not Dubrow. Show the man some respect. Actually, don’t. Like most of the others guys over at CBS Sports, he really doesn’t deserve it. Although they seem to consider themselves the bad boys of baseball blogging. For example, here’s Gregg Doyel’s bio:

I think you and Gleeman should take on Dubrow/Dobrow and Doyel in a steel cage match.
