The Giants would NEVER have kept Guillen off the roster if Major League Baseball hadn’t come in. The Giants LOVE steroid guys… the more the merrier…

Guillen was awful almost the entire time he was with the Giants, and especially the last three weeks of the regular season. If they had started Cody Ross over him in September they probably would have won the West by four games or more. Leaving Guillen (and Zito) off the postseason roster was a no-brainer of a baseball decision.

Either way, Guillen is a pain in the neck, a prick and way over the hill. No one will miss another jerk leaving this game.

Sounds like a case of CYA to me. They know they will be in deep crap from the union if this actually happened so they are covering and spreading it out through the channels that they had nothing to do with it and it was purely a baseball decision. Really? Then ‘splain this quote from Bochy…”At his postgame news conference Thursday night, he was asked about the matter and said, “Right now, I don’t have a comment on that.” The team itself, through a spokesman, also declined comment, as did Major League Baseball. ”

Which is it…no comment, or it was purely a baseball decision? Uh-uh. Sorry Bruce you don’t get to take it back. You had no comment. Now you want us all to believe it was purely a baseball decision? It doesn’t pass the smell test and I predict after the World Series, we will see more about this…I bet the union is pretty pissed about it.

Glad to hear that. Advising teams to suspend players before the investigation is complete is the province of the NCAA. The more baseball does to differentiate itself from that corrupt sack of shit, the better.
