Remember all the outrage when Sabean signed Renteria to a 2 year $18.5 million contract? Considering how truly awful he was for the Red Sox in 2005, everyone said this was a terrible contract. 2 years later, he is the WS MVP. Cody Ross was cut by the Marlins, and ONLY picked up by the Giants to block the Padres. He’s your NLCS MVP. Pat the bat once again had himself a great World Series, but for a guy hitting .040 in his World Series career, he has two rings. Amazing.

Congrats Giants. Amazing that if not for a 10 game losing streak by the San Diego Padres you would likely have been watching October baseball.
