Like Gregg, Crain is a Type B free agent, so he would not cost the Jay’s a draft pick.

Agreed! He was born in Toronto and played for Canada in the WBC. I would prefer him to Gregg. As far as the comment that he had never closed before, I have to point out that all closers had never closed before they were given the roll.

Assuming Gregg declines arbitration, he might be a decent low cost option for The Jays. To add to the appeal he was born here, not that that should matter.
