Prediction: Theo Reclamation Project #32. Signs a minor league contract with the Sox in hopes of joining a major league team in playoff contention. Heads down to Florida where he develops a lingering health issue. Never makes it above high Single A. Lasts about five weeks before he is released by Theo to pursue other offers. Is very quickly picked up by the Pirates (or Astros, or Royals, etc). Has a breakout first two weeks. Then implodes. Struggles in the field. Struggles at the plate. Complains to the press about the manager’s decision to platoon him as a pinch hitter. Destroyed by the press. (Given the option and…) Retires. Goes home to await is Hall of Fame invite. Wonders why Carlos Delgado gets more votes than him…

I think he’s a solid bat off the bench for a number of teams. If he realizes his dollar value is $1 million or less, I’d say as many as 10-12 teams would bite.
