Funny you should utter the word “trade”. As in what has happened to Lee three times in the last two years. How much you want to bet Lee has a death grip on understanding the business side of baseball?

The Yankees will likely make Lee the best monetary offer, … by far! That doesn’t make it’s a lock that he’ll sign with the Yankees. But if he doesn’t, money won’t be the issue. And, that’s including that bogus Texas state taxes advantage!.

Of course there are other reasons for signing with the Yankees, .. like having a better chance to pitch in meaningful game in October year in and year out.
