It reminds me of Rocco Baldelli the last couple of years.

In a vacuum, you’d think that Chavez might fit on a major league roster, but when you realize that you can’t count on him to be healthy whenever your regular player hits the DL, then it’s hard to squeeze that extra player onto a 25-man roster given that 12 slots are devoted to pitchers routinely.

If he got more than a non-roster invite, I’d be blown away. If he REALLY is at or near 100%, maybe he’d serve well on the bench of the Diamondbacks, Pirates or Marlins. Maybe.
