Continuing Craig’s theme: playing any position just to be part of the team is more “blue collar” than refusing to switch positions because you’re in a contract year.

Heck, let Uggla play 1B. They don’t have one right now, and Uggla’s defense would be minimized there while still being regarded as an elite infielder a year from now.
