Even if Rivera fell off a cliff he’d put up better numbers than Papelbon did for Boston this past year.

And I picture Rivera as the guy who finds the loner in the group and says “Hey, do you want to be awesome?” and gets the guy laid.

I’d be more amazed if the Yankees didn’t want for two more years. Rivera is still not only one of the top guys in his position he’s still pretty close to his peak. Used properly, he could be looking for another contract for 2013-2014.

This has to be the most obvious no brainer of the entire off season. I love Jeter but the difference between him and Rivera is that while Jeter would attract some interest as a FA, Rivera would have GMs tripping over themselves trying to sign him. Starting with Gorilla Boy in Boston.

Somewhere, in an attic or basement, there is a decaying picture of Rivera getting worse by the year.

Dude, I saw Mo at the Cantina last week. He had just come from murdering some womp rats with baseballs over in Beggar’s Canyon and had decided to come to Mos Eisley and toss back a few blue milks. I was like “hey Mo, what brings ya to Mos Eisley?” All he said was “put em up and I’ll knock ‘em down” and then he pounded his milk. Apparently satisfied with his answer and the milk, he then walked over and bear-hugged Nick Swisher who was wasted and harassing the alien chick with the six boobs. Stand up guy, that Mo.

Yup that just about sums it all up very well. I’d just keep feeding him 15 million per until he finally breaks his arm off. His ERA has been below 2 since 2003 besides one season. 2 years of mo is hardly a worry even at his age. He just doesn’t show signs of decline yet imo, his numbers are pristine.

And Craig, Mo hangs with the band at the Mos Eisley Cantina most of the time….
