pavano’s deal with the yankees has gotta be up there with the all time worst deals, as far as money vs. games played based on prior performance. i can personally relate to the overpaid-and-never-played deals of the old Rays days… does ANYONE remember the horrible contracts for Wilson Alvarez, Greg Vaughn, and Vinny Castilla? Ugh.

Can't you get fined by the FCC or someone like that for a humidor malfunction? What if they find out it's full of cohibas? You can get hit with a bigger fine for that than if it were full of yerba buena in this political climate.

No one could suck as bad as the Yankees version. If we got Monty Burns to pitch he wouldn’t suck as bad as Pavano did back then. Hell, Craig wouldn’t even suck that bad!

The Dodgers are doing ok despite the divorce. Not great, but ok. The Rockies, on the other hand, have to be more careful. One humidor malfunction and some of these guys they are looking at can give up 11 runs.
