Let both factions the Yankees and Jeter put their final offer/demands on the table. If they can’t live with one or the other, turn out the lights the parties over. If Jeters going to sign let him sign if not let him move on, and that applies to the Yankees as well. Time to get on to other business as one other poster commented on another Jeter topic. The Yankees need to do something about their pitching (Lee and bullpen help), and they need to do something about the catching spot. I hate to say it as a Yankee fan but these are more important to the long term success of the Yankees then haggling over signing a 36 or 37 year old shortstop to a long term contract. Even if that shortstop is Derek Jeter.
