Hrm.

Didn't like the Uribe signing much (would have been OK at 1 or 2 years, but three at $7MM per? C'mon now), like this even less. I like Johnny's bat and his influence on the team, but his defense is terrible. I know the Dodgers are banking a lot Davey Lopes helping out Matt Kemp. Maybe Colletti is banking on Kemp returning to being a very good defensive CF who can make up the ground you lose with Damon in left?

If that's the case between Uribe getting three years, and this, Neddy boy is doing a whole lot of assuming this offseason.

If the rotation holds up (good bet), the bullpen improves (always voltile year to year) and both Kemp & Ethier (they have the talent), a line up with Uribe and Damon could be good for 2011 (defensive liabilities aside:

Furcal	SS
Damon	LF
Kemp	CF
Ethier	RF
Uribe	2B
Loney	1B
Blake	3B
???	C

A lot of ifs I know and beyond 2011 one has to question the wisdom of having Uribe but as it stands now the prospects for 2011 are going to be much better than expected considering how the 2010 unfolded.
