You wanted all those millions and privacy as well. Who the hell do you think you are?
While the Steibrenners dole out the dough,we the fans pay for it. If you don’t like the reality of it…get a real job with the billions of other people who would gladly trade that privilege for the chance to play a childhood game and make millions for doing it.
The press has handled you with kid gloves for your whole career as you have held the hammer. You are starting to remind me of Tiger Woods.
As you get older and your skills diminish even more while you are being paid millions by the only baseball team insane enough to pay an aging superstar such as yourself that kind of money expect more days like your recent contract negotiation.
If you can’t take this heat now, wait till next year when you make two errors and hit into a game ending double play while carding a 260 avg . It won’t be pretty.
Go ask Arod how that feels and start getting used to it.

He’s got a point, you know. For all his faults on the field, the guy’s been a loyal, scandal-free company man for 15+ years. That doesn’t mean he deserves $100 million more dollars, but the Yankees could and should have done a better job keeping the negotiations out of the media.

How lucky is Jeter that the Yankees don’t have a stud SS in AA or AAA? Would he remain this delusional/angry after being dumped for a younger, better player and signing a 2 yr $15M contract?
