So the A's want to pay twice as much for the same production. Good thing they non-tendered Cust.

Why would they not want Beltre to not go to the Angels again?

Good for them. I gotta tell you though, in all mock seriousness, the first time I visited the Shoji Temple I spent a couple of hours being stunned by the atmosphere of the place, the golden Buddhas, bodhisattvas and dharmapalas, the beauty of the architecture and the peacefulness of the gardens. Then, still a bit overcome by the ancient grandeur of it all, I walked into the bazaar hoping to buy a couple of figurines and votive scrolls to bring home for my art collection - and there were four thousand (at least) Hideki Matsui bobbleheads in Borg uniforms, all...well....bobbling at me the entire quarter mile length of the bazaar. Try and imagine that. Just try. You can't make this shit up.

Four thousand should be more than enough for "Matsui Bobblehead Day" in Oakland this year. About 1000 of the leftovers will be on eBay with 24 hours, so the good folks in SoCal can still get one.

Heh - hit send prematurely - Palos Verdes, Lakewood, Compton, Fullerton, La Habra, Lake Forest, Costa Mesa and, of course, Cucamonga.
Oh boy. If he was .820 OPS in Anaheim, with another year on him and Oakland's bigger park, he'll be about .775 in 2011. That should still lead the team. The A's need to get a couple more guys who can push .800 OPS this year.
