I don’t see how you can think that making something legal will magically stop the people currently forcing women to slavery. It’s not like there’s a prostitution table at the local job fair and people are just lining up for the job.

Yes because things are so much easier to regulate and watch when they aren’t legal, and when everything is done secretly……. Every job has dangers and I’m not pretending anything here. It’s just a waste to fight because OBVIOUSLY it’s not going away. So how do we make it better for those involved? Keeping it illegal is working the other way, not to mention very costly for those paying for fighting it. That’s us, if you didn’t know. If Denmark has issues it’s not because it’s legal, it’s because it isn’t regulated properly.

Your claims that prostitution is a victimless crime would hold more water if there weren’t women being forced into sex slavery in Denmark (a place where prostitution is legal). Pretending that legalizing prostitution would result in a fairy place work environment where nothing bad would happen to the prostitutes is disgusting.

Jonny’s right, for the most part. It isn’t victimless, but that’s precisely because it’s a crime that there are victims. De-criminalize it, and the hoes wouldn’t be at the mercy of the clients and pimps.

Pimps are just taking advantage. And if the act wasn’t crimminal, we’d be back to having “Madams” running things. We could Tax it to bring in income instead of blowing millions fighting it. Regulation of testing then could take place for STD’s and whatnot. I don’t see why we haven’t gone this route already.
