I’m sorry. I dispute the validity of this story. My 1st reason is the fact that it states that Bruce Chen is still in the league. My 2nd reason is that it states that not only is he still in the league but that there is a team that seemingly desires to retain his services. This guy is as soft as tissue paper and wouldn’t cut it in a tough beer league. This must be a different Bruce Chen then the one that pitched for my team(phillies) a few years back. No way that punk has lasted this long. Man, make me a bad lefty in my next life.

Although stat-geek will prove that Chen wasn’t really that good of a pitcher last year, KC did as a team, have more success with him pitching than Greinke.

So, the Phillies have a couple of pitchers to fill one spot. I'm assuming this is the perfect time to make a trade involving one of them. The phills need some help from the right side of the plate, and they can use an OF. Time to take advantage imo. Trivia: Who throws the nastiest curve ball in the major leagues right now??? When Bruce Chen is your top winner from last year, and your considering signing a guy who was something like 5-19 the year before, you might as well just be contracted.
Or merged with the Mets. Unsure which would be a worse fate.
